Fundraising

The funding that enables the Society to provide the charitable services to the needy of the local community primarily comes from the generosity of others within the same community. Here are the sources of our funding:

Direct Giving

The major source of the Society's funding is individuals' monthly financial gifts. These contributions, made throughout the year or in response to specific campaigns, make it possible for the Society to provide aid day after day, year after year. Please make this an important component of your giving. Note that many employers will match your contributions. Please check our list for your employer and if your employer is not on it, ask them if they would be willing to help you assist the Society. 92% of the Society's revenue goes directly to support the services the Society provides to those in need. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a 501(c3), tax-exempt charity. Please provide your tax-deductible monthly gift on the first Sunday of the month in your "blue envelope".

Special Fundraising Projects

To help raise funds for the important work of the Society, fundraising events are held from time to time including:

  • the Advent candle sale,
  • the Birdies for Charity program,
  • Art Auction, etc.

Wheel Appeal

The Society is in a great need of old, preferably 'running' cars that you can donate. The cars will be given to the needy families so they can work and take care of thier children, or the cars may be sold and the proceeds will fund the Society's programs.
